Occupational therapist
Kate Grayson is a Specialist Occupational Therapist with over 18 years’ experience supporting neurodivergent children and those with trauma and attachment needs. Based in the North East of England, Kate is the founder of The InnerMe Project, Therapeeze, and The Inner Explorers – innovative, interoception-informed initiatives designed to shift the focus from “fixing behaviour” to building felt safety and connection through neuroscience.
Her approach is rooted in body-based awareness, sensory safety, and the power of interoception – the hidden sense that tells us what’s happening inside our bodies. Through her work, Kate helps families, schools, and professionals move from chaos to connection by understanding the nervous system, decoding baffling behaviours, and empowering children to become aware of their inner world.
Kate’s voice is both grounded and compassionate – a North East girl with a no-nonsense attitude and a heart for advocacy. Whether she’s working directly with families, training professionals, or challenging outdated systems, she’s on a mission to help children feel seen, safe, and supported – from the inside out.
