Self Sabotage- does this affect your personal and business growth

What does self-sabotage look like for you? Fear of success? Fear of failure? Fear of other people judging your movements. This is a totally normal response, especially to the small gremlin that we call our subconscious which plays so many tricks on us. When it comes to manifesting, we can really block our goals from being accomplished without realizing them with our self-sabotaging behaviour.
Self Sabotaging can really halt our professional growth especially in starting up a new business or growing an existing business which is ready for the next steps, it can really hinder our approach to how we are going to map our next steps because the fear of doing something out of our comfort zone can send shivers down our spine because we can fear lack and judgement, but what I teach when working with clients 1-1 is that it's good to challenge and face these insecurities because manifesting the life we desire really needs to be in alignment so when we are manifesting our perfect next move our gut always tells us if it feels right and if it feels right why do we allow other people to change the narrative of our destiny?. Someone else shouldn't have any influence over our personal or business growth and worrying constantly will only pull us further back on our journey. I know you're probably thinking "That's easier said than done" but one thing I have learned is that if I had let those feelings creep in and let self-sabotage take over I probably wouldn't be writing this blog today or had even published my book or become a podcaster. The importance of self-development is that we have the ability to start nurturing our inner child and find the deep-rooted issues as to why we put barriers up to the barriers that make us grow and I know this can be deeply rooted in our upbringing, or even past relationships, work or personal that can influence our mindset. I have spoken openly in my book on how certain people's words have always been my motivation to manifest my goals that build fire in my stomach and I feel once we have found the deep-rooted causes we can begin to build strong foundations for moving forward in our lives, knowing our triggers, or behaviours that define us.
Fear of success can wholeheartedly sabotage our success because the thought of new challenges and responsibilities can challenge risk around chasing our goals.
Fear of failure can intensify when stepping out of your comfort zone because new challenges bring on new responsibilities and unsettling adversities, but stepping out of your comfort zone can be rewarding, and exciting the unknown for me really pushes me to show everyone I can do this and I will.
Procrastination is another one to add to the list, putting something off when you know you have a task to do to reach your goals that are set, continuously procrastinating can become a habit that we struggle to break, we all know what we need to do in order to get to where we need to but time blocking and habit stacking really takes care of this one.
Let's talk about negative self-talk, it is so easy to talk down to ourselves rather than praise our actions, positivity for me plays a big part in the manifestation process, giving me the belief I can do anything in life, of course, we have them niggles, questioning our moves and steps but that's healthy but being kind to yourself is really important, you wouldn't talk to a stranger like that well I hope not haha. Be kind with zero self-doubt.
Self Sabotage can manifest in many behaviours, and it can be classed as a form of psychological self-harm, It is unique to each person with some recurring challenges. Self-esteem can be a key factor by giving us feelings of lack, worthlessness or incompetence, with the belief that we don't deserve success. We totally do and by reading this small blog, I encourage you to start believing in yourself, your capabilities, your self-worth, your reason why you do what you do and whether you are truly happy or are you holding back.
